Photo Tour of Indonesia

Once upon a time in Indonesia

There was a beautiful island called Gili Trawangan.  The island had beautiful beaches and crystal clear water.  It was a wonderful place for exploring life under the sea.

The sea was filled with tropical fish of all different colours.  There were Blue tang, Japan, Eyestripe, Arabian, and Blackstripe Surgeonfish, Wahoo’s, Barrier Reef and Clown (this Nemo) Anemonefish, Tirggerfish, Eels, Starfish and even SHARKS!!!

The people living on the island were very nice and hard working.  Everyday the people would unload heavy material from boats coming from other islands.  This happened all day long in the blistering heat.

While the adults worked, the children had fun splashing around.

The island was a very photogenic place that anywhere and anytime was a great photo op.

The next stop on this amazing adventure was Lombok.  Lombok, a much larger island than Gili T., had many winding hills with spectacular views. It made it a perfect place for a motorbike adventure.

In fact, motorbiking adventures through Lombok are a must because not only do you feel completely free, but the cascading waterfalls along the way aren’t too shabby.

After exploring Lombok, the journey continued in Bali.  Bali, a smaller island than Lombok but larger than Gili T., was a magical place covered in palm trees and green moss.  There was also so many tropical flowers anywhere that taking pictures of them was very necessary.

Bali was also home to many mischievous but adorable monkeys…

…and Balinese rituals like the Ramayana Monkey Chant and Fire Dance.

The amazing adventure continued at a very spiritual place.  This very spiritual place, also known as Borobudur temple is one of the greatest Buddhist monuments in the world.  A perfect place to end the Indonesian adventure.

hai Kristen. Nice to see your website. Currently I stay in Batui Cenral Sulawesi for a work.

Have you ever been to Bunaken Manado? Togean Island or Tinalapu Island (both in Central Sulawesi Indonesia)? You must go there to see Indonesia’s underwater paradise and grab thousands beautiful photographs there, believe me =D
