Road Trip: Toronto to Buffalo, NY

I love road trips.  Whether, they are short or long, they are always filled with adventure.

I’ve passed Buffalo, NY countless times while visiting the United States.  I also have booked quite a few flights out of Buffalo rather than Toronto, since it can be a lot cheaper.  Residents of Ontario will visit Buffalo solely for cheap shopping, but I wanted to see what else this state offered.

From eating oysters to being driven around by a personal chauffeur to getting sexual in the washroom (rated PG, I promise), here is another Hopscotch the Globe Travel Vlog.

    Road trips rock 🙂

I do miss having a vehicle; I haven’t had one since I sold my truck in 2007 and left the U.S. But I am planning on picking up a cheapo for my time in Rio de Janeiro in 2013 as part of my exploration of the surrounding countryside, and I’ll be renting a car later this year for some exploring here in Chiapas, Mexico.

I used to have a 2001 Jeep Sahara, soft top, that I spent WAY too much money on when I was living in Colorado in Greeley/Fort Collins. Lift kit, 32 10-50s, winch, the whole 9 yards….did a lot of 4-wheeling and road-tripping throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Montana….anywhere with mountains.

    I miss it 🙂

That sounds amazing.  I would love to go road-tripping throughout all of those places, especially Colorado! It’s so much fun.  I really enjoy packing a small backpack and taking off on a motorbike as well.  That’s one of my favorite ways to explore a place.  It’s so free and adventurous.  I actually have a video of riding around on a motorbike in Indonesia as well: http://hopscotchtheglobe.com/2011/05/31/renting-a-motorbike-the-best-and-cheapest-way-to-experience-a-new-place/
I love it!Driving around Rio and Chiapas would be great.  Can’t wait to read about your experiences.
