Without further ado, here are my Top Travel Items for July 2016!

Bluesmart Suitcase (Carry-on Size for All Major Airlines)

There comes a time in a travellers life, when you have to say goodbye to the travel companion that you could always count on…that is until your latest trip. Right before heading to the airport, your travel companion has a tantrum and explodes like never before. Zippers and clothes fly everywhere! Right then and there, you know the two of you could never travel together again and alas, it’s time to move on and get yourself another travel companion. Enter Bluesmart Suitcase.

Bluesmart suitcase

This travel companion is a smart cookie! Not only can it store all of the things you need for your travels, but it can also:

  • Charge your devices up to 6 times (it has a built in USB)
  • Remotely lock your suitcase from your phone (there’s an app for that)
  • Locate your suitcase anywhere in the world (you’ll never lose each other)
  • Check the weight of your suitcase anytime (make sure it’s keepin’ healthy)
  • 4 smooth wheels (people in front of you won’t even hear ya coming)
  • Ultra-resistant to water, scratches & bumps. (it’s ready for an adventure)

I’ve brought this suitcase with me on a few trips now and love it. It packs way more than my last suitcase and has just the right amount of compartments to keep my items organized and clean.

JORD Wood Watches

I’ve always had a thing for wood watches, and now I’m a proud owner of one. I’m not really one to wear a watch, but I make the exception for JORD Wood Watches because it feels more like a beautiful accessory than anything. I love the earthy look and the fact that it goes with almost my entire wardrobe. It’s also light, so most of the time I forget I’m wearing it. What also makes these watches so cool is that the battery is powered by kinetic energy. This means, as long as it’s on my wrist, it will keep on ticking!

Travel Bra

The Original Travel Bra safety and discreetly stores your passport, credit card, USB and small jewellery. There is a drop-down passport pocket that folds up into the under-band to look like any other bran when it’s not in use. It’s made of soft organic cotton and bamboo, gives full support for the ladies with wide shoulder straps, has no scratchy labels and is anti-microbacterial. Who would have thought a bra could do so much?!

Flip Flops

Packing a comfortable pair of  shoes for your travels is vital. I always recommend a great pair of hiking shoes as well as a comfortable pair of sandals/flip flops. A couple of months ago, I introduced a new pair of flip flops to my feet, and they’ve inseparable ever since.

Yogis especially, prepare to get excited! Sanuk Yoga Mat Flip Flops are the most comfortable flip flops I’ve ever owned. It’s feel like you’re walking on a cloud…or a yoga mat.

Alpaca Blanket

One of my favourite things to do throughout my travels is visit local markets. I love the sounds, smells and hustle and bustle of it all. You get a good feel for the culture, get to interact with the locals and find some pretty incredible souvenirs to bring back home with you.

During my recent trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos, I found this incredible gorgeous alpaca blanket at the Quito Artisan Market. While a blanket this can cost you a couple hundred dollars, I managed to score this beautiful blanket for $20 USD. That’s $10 less than the asking price. Gotta love bargaining!

Flask

My nephew bought Siya this flask for Christmas, and I kind of claimed it as my own as well. First of all, it’s cute as hell to be given a flask from a 11-year old. Also, he sure knows our style. Now, the the most important question of all about the flask is…what the hell do we out in it? Kool-aid! Duh!!!
