Hi! I am thinking about traveling solo but I was wondering how you handle loneliness? Is it as easy as people say to meet new friends, and how do you handle things like eating out alone?
Thank you in advance and good luck on your travels!

Hey Emma! Thank you for your comment. Travelling alone is great! One of the greatest things about it is it allows you to really get to know yourself. This can seem scary at first. Eating alone is actually very enjoyable if you allow it. Don’t feel like you look silly because you’re eating by yourself. Give it a try, you may be surprised by how enjoyable it actually is. HOWEVER, it’s very rare that you won’t have the option to eat with others. I found it actually difficult to get alone time in almost all the places I’ve travelled solo. You will meet many other travellers as well as locals. When you travel, you build quick bonds with people. Travelling alone gives you the option of doing things on your own or being with others. You don’t have to rely on anyone else to make a decision. It’s all you baby, and it’s great!

Hi Seema! Travelling solo can definetly seen like a scary concept, but once you do it once, you will be hooked. As long as you do some research, use common sense and watch out for yourself, you will be just as safe somewhere else as you would be at home (unless your somewhere you really shouldn’t be which is why doing your research is important). Thanks for reading!

Thanks for encourage me. All my colleges friends always say that Why do not you go outside to travel like to see hills, snowfalls, on beaches, and anywhere even all my friends always visit at new destination but my family don’t allow me to go outside at home so, that is the major problem becomes with me at all that’s why I’ m not fond to visit there & So I’ve been afraid to go alone!!

There will always be people who try to prevent you from following your dreams. Some do it because they are jealous and others do it because they love you and want you safe. The ones who are afraid for you to travel alone, have never done it…or perhaps they had one bad experience. I encourage you to always follow your dreams and do what makes you happy. This is YOUR life!
