The term "zero waste" has become a trending topic as more people are adapting this eco-conscious way of living with less waste. If you've never heard of zero waste, it's a philosophy that encourages a lifestyle where all products used on a daily basis are reused. The goal is for no trash to be sent to landfills, incinerators, or the ocean. Out of all things that can be trendy, it's really great that people worldwide are choosing to make it something that can have a huge positive impact on this planet now and for future generations. People are beginning to wake up and realize how impactful their day to day actions are on our planet; what they do matters. Plain and simple, there is way too much senseless wastefulness happening around the world.

Now, zero waste may sound a bit intimidating, right? Let's talk more about that...

I don't necessarily believe a zero waste lifestyle is attainable for most people. This is especially true for those who have never been waste conscious. Instead, a "less waste" lifestyle seems more realistic and achievable. By making small changes in our lives we can make a huge difference for our planet. The great thing about making one change is it tends to lead to more changes and before you know it you've made several impactful changes that our planet will be greatly thankful for.

Over the past few months, I've been making more efforts to be waste conscious. I've made several small changes in my life to reduce the amount of waste I create, and I gotta tell, you...I'm hooked! I want to keep going and find more ways to reduce my impact on the planet while inspiring others to do the same. Which is why in the video below, I share some of the ways I've been making eco friendly changes to my life by sharing 18 zero waste travel essentials for use at home and on the road.

    Hello, Kristen and Siya! I totally agree with you. If there’s anyone that should be more conscious about zero waste travels, it’s frequent travelers like us. If we wanna keep the beauty of the places we travel or will travel to, we have to learn how to take care of the environment.
