Try This Delicious Greek Yogurt Smoothie Recipe

Welcome to the Hopscotch the Globe Country in a Smoothie video series. In this video series, Siya and I teach you how to travel to your favourite country without leaving your own kitchen. In other words, we teach you how to turn the flavours of a country into a smoothie!

In the video above, we show you how to capture the flavours of the Greek Islands with our mouth-watering Greek yogurt smoothie recipe. So, grab your blender and ingredients and let’s travel to Greece. Passport…not required!

HOPSCOTCH THE GLOBE’S GREEK YOGURT SMOOTHIE RECIPE:

  • 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup of milk of your choice (I used homemade almond milk)
  • 1 hand full of fresh figs
  • 3 tablespoons of honey
  • 1/3 cup of blended almonds
  • 1 hand full of fresh grapes
  • 2-3 grapes for garnish
  • 1 toothpick
  • 1 fancy glass
  • Magic Bullet or blender of choice

Step-by-Step

Take your magic bullet and mix in the yogurt, milk, figs, honey, blended almonds and grapes for 20 seconds or until blended into a smooth consistency. Take your 2-3 garnish grapes and skewer them until your toothpick. Pour your smoothie mix into a glass of your choice. Add your garnish to the side of your glass, close your eyes and take a sip. Welcome to Greece!

Note: It’s important to make sure your almonds are blended separately into a powder before adding them to the smoothie
