Get Paid to Travel the World

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Have you ever wanted to get paid to travel the world?  Does this idea just seem like a far off dream to you? What if I told you that dream can be a reality?

Allie G - CEO for G Adventures

My best friend Allie Giamprini is a CEO (Chief Experience Officer) for the award-winning adventure travel company G Adventures.  What exactly is a CEO?  Well, it’s another way of saying travel guide or tour leader.  Except I think CEO defines what Allie does a lot more than just “tour guide/leader.”

Allie spend her days hopscotching from Mexico all the way to Panama with like-minded individuals that have a thirst for adventure and travel.  Oh, and she get’s paid to do it!  Talk about a dream job.  In fact, when I asked Allie if being a CEO is THE DREAM JOB, without hesitation she replied with:

When Allie talks about her job, which she does A LOT, you can see the passion in her eyes.  I’ve never seen her so happy and satisfied, and I’ve known her for quite some time.  In fact, Allie and I had our first “real travel” experience when we were part of the same group in high school to spend a semester living and volunteering in Paraguay, South America.  That was about 9-years ago, and we’ve been good friends ever since.

Hi, I would like to be a tour leader for G adventures for quite some time. Could you tell how to apply for the job? I have got a friend who applied online and never heart back from them, so i am wondering is there any other way to apply for the CEO job?

What a fabulous post! Thank you. I am a lawyer and academic just looking for something this amazing to pop up! I aim to travel overseas twice a year, but with busy jobs this can be hard to manage. I’ve been waiting an ‘escape’.

I’m an aussie girl living on a gorgeous tropical island in North Queensland, Australia. I moved from Sydney to seek out a better life style. I am always on the hunt for a better lifestyle!

Are there any positions at the moment?

I am curious and interested to learn about this further!

      Pick me, pick me!

      Would love to connect,

      CHRISSY 🙂

Hey Jacqueline. I’m not sure about how all the companies and different regions do it, but for us in Central Ameria, we generally go through one week in the office program, learning about the company, roles and responsibilities and different scenarios. The you will go on a shadow training trip with another CEO and their group, and if you pass all that, you sign a contract and start your own trips.

I’m sure she would love to chat to you about that. She is just travelling in Europe for her “vacation” for the next couple of months. I’ll reach out to her and let her know your questions.

What is the training process like? How long is the process? I will be wrapping up my undergraduate studies in May and looking for an awesome next step 🙂
