The 40 Day ParaGONE Cleanse: Week 1

Last month, I did a 30 Day Bikram Challenge but was unable to complete the 30 days because I broke my toe.  Although it is always unfortunate to start something and not be able to finish it under uncontrollable circumstances, I know that I will be taking on this challenge again in the future.

This month, I will be doing a 40 Day ParaGONE Cleanse.  That’s right!  This cleanse will be 40 days because I am spending 5 days before preparing for it and 5 days in between to give my body a break as the instructions have recommended.  So what is a ParaGONE Cleanse?

ParaGONE is a blend of herbs & natural compounds that help maintain the balance of intestinal flora and cleanse parasites that enter the body by ingestion, inhalation, or the skin (including the bottom of the feet).  You can get parasites from contaminated soil, fruits, vegetables and water, raw or rare meat, pets; mosquitoes, contact with feces and someone who has parasites.  Since I have done a lot of traveling throughout the years, and don’t visit a doctor often, I thought it would be a good idea to do this type of cleanse.  The ParaGONE cleanse was recommended by a friend of mine who did it and had great, and terrifying, results.  I’m interested to see how this cleanse will make me feel and “what comes out of me.”

The freaky thing about parasites is they may produce no noticeable symptoms and if you do have them, they can affect tissue anywhere in the body.  Although symptoms of having parasites aren’t always noticeable, the following are some common noticeable symptoms:

  • Allergies
  • Bed-wetting
  • Brain fog
  • Diarrhea or constipation
  • Digestive complaints (gas, bloating, cramps)
  • Disturbed sleep
  • Irritability/nervousness
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Joint pain
  • Muscle cramps
  • Overall fatigue
  • Pain in the navel
  • Persistent skin problems
  • Post-nasal drip
  • Ravenous appetite (or loss of appetite)
  • Rectal itching
  • Sugar craving
  • Teeth grinding
I have had some of the above symptoms regularly occur over the past year, whether or not it means I have parasites, I will find out.
What does the ParaGONE cleanse require?
For the first 5 days, which I began yesterday, I will be cutting out, or cutting way back, on certain items from my diet, two of which I absolutely love – caffeine and sugar. The following is the list of items I will be eliminating from my diet for 40 days:
  • Sugar: sucrose, fructose, maltose, lactose, glucose, mannitol, sorbitol, galactose, maple syrup, brown, raw and date sugar, honey and artificial sweeteners
  • Wheat and yeast
  • Alcohol, soda, coffee, ciders
  • Condiments, sauces and vinegar products (mayonnaise, ketchup, MSG, pickles)
  • Dried or candied fruits such as raisins or dates
  • Processed fermented foods such as soy sauce
  • Fruit juices with the exception of lemons, limes, fresh cranberries, blueberries, strawberries, melon and Granny Smith apples
  • Dairy and cheese
Some diet suggestions while doing the cleanse include:
  • 8 to 10 glasses of purified water per day
  • Fresh Vegetables
  • Green vegetable juices
  • All fish except shellfish
  • Free-range or organic eggs
  • Lemons, limes, fresh cranberries, strawberries, blueberries, melon, Granny Smith apples
  • Well-cooked grains: brown or wild rice, millet, buckwheat, amaranth, quinoa, spelt, teff
  • Pasta made from any of the above recommended grains
  • Beans and lentils
  • Raw fermented foods
  • Essential fatty acids such as flax oil and olive oil
  • Plain, unsweetened yogurt
  • Unsweetened soy, rice or almond milk
  • Raw almonds and seeds, raw almond butter
  • Herbal teas such as chamomile or peppermint
  • Natural sweeteners such as stevia
Oh geeze, what am I getting myself into?
Along with this suggested diet, I will be taking the ParaGONE cleanse supplements which are in capsule and liquid form and contain the following:
ParaGONE I (capsules)
  • Undecylenic acid (Coconut and castor bean)
  • Black Walnut hull and seed
  • Quassia Wood (picrasma excelsa)

Today marks day 2 of the cleans and already I am craving a nice big cup of java.  I think the toughest park is going to be eliminating coffee from my life.  I love it way too much which is probably why it`s a good thing that I am going to go 40 days without it.  I also really, REALLY, love sugar.  This is going to be a very intense 40 days, but I am hoping there will be great benefits from the cleanse.
Have any of you done a ParaGONE cleanse or something similar?
Leave a comment below and let me hear how it went for you.  Also, if any of you are doing your own 30 Day Challenge, leave a comment and tell us about it.  I`d love to hear from you.
